One of the less expensive Italian restaurants in the city, with prices that are more in line with other cuisines. The decor is not particularly plush, but has a certain homey warmth. The meat-sauce rigatoni I ordered was decent but fairly bland, as was the sauce I tasted from my friend's crab ravioli, which was one of their evening specials. The menu is very small, with perhaps six or so pastas and another six or so other entrees, although a chalkboard on one wall seems to indicate they have various pizzas as well. The bread served with dinner was nice--some sort of semi-wheat blend rather than the usual plain white baguette-type bread--but served very sparingly; at one point I think we went about 45 minutes without seeing a server in the small single-room restaurant.

When it was there, the service was very friendly, and included a boisterous Italian fellow, but the three servers would vanish altogether for long periods of time, so you couldn't get more bread, let alone a water refill or a check. After long, long waits for bread and a check, and while in the midst of another long wait for the receipt, one of them came by to ask if we'd been served. !! So there seemed to be a certain lack of coordination there, and it was a relief to get the last thing we needed from them and finally be on our way.
