| | | This is the PS2 Classics version of KOF 2000, downloadable from the Japanese PSN store on PS3. It adds (over the DC version, for instance--see entry 139) a "Party Mode" survival mode (which ramps up in difficulty way too slowly--see my comments on it for the PS2 Classics on PS4 port, entry 1338), and some extra strikers.
SNK, or whoever ported this, did an odd thing here and blurred the interior pixels of the character sprites--well, the edges of the sprites are slightly blurry as well, but the interiors are very blurry; I guess that thought that made for a smoother, more cohesive look to the bodies or something. Anyway, it's kind of gross. And I guess it was definitely done for the PS2 version that this emulates, rather than somehow made that way in bringing it to the PS3, because the interior blurring is also present in the PS2 Classics version on PS4. |
