Probably SNK's best PlayStation fighting game port. They took the stupid "sway line" multi-plane system out of the arcade version so you just fight along one plane, like real men. Thank goodness. They also threw in short anime scenes and a silly pilot character named "Alfred" around whom the "story" (ie 3 seconds of cutscenes) seems to revolve. Oh, and a new boss, White, a Clockwork Orange reject who gives new meaning to the concept of cheap bosses, pulling out ridiculously powerful moves, even when he is dead! Grr!

But the slightly exaggerated, colorful Capcom-esque art, the very smooth animation, and the large cast, not to mention the fine no-line-sway controls, win the day here and just make fighting fun, and with pretty good loading times even. And the AI can't judge the distance on Franco's crushing back+strong attack. Yeah! Bash!
