|ow *this* is more like it--the original Super Mario Bros scale of inspiration, lost or asleep five years later in Super Mario World, is back in full force another five years later in Yoshi's Island. The simple yet engaging story, the much more intuitive controls, the brilliantly new graphic design, the lovely music... well! It's quite a show. It almost seems a shame to tack on yet again the weird "Advance" version of Mario Bros here, like sullying a masterwork with mediocrity.|
I never even heard of Yoshi's Island when it came out, being long out of the console scene, but I've heard legends of it since, and it certainly lives up to its billing in this portable port.
