Arcade Card port of SNK's NeoGeo fighter. I was never a huge fan of the AoF series, and this port just makes things worse. Much worse. Does an abrupt jump in zoom as characters get farther away from each other, so abrupt you really lose track of what's going on at that moment. Zoomed in or out the graphics just look scaled wrong somehow. Supports a six button stick (the game only uses four, of course) but even then it is oddly difficult to execute special moves.

You can play "Story" mode as either oh Ryo or Robert I think their names are. Vs mode lets you pick from eight or ten characters, many of them odd fellows who didn't last long beyond this game.

Sound is particularly dreadful, cutting in and out with horrible digitized voices.

Oh, you can set language to Japanese, Spanish, or English--and get win quotes and stuff in classic SNK Engrish.

Load times are bad, really bad. The first time you start Story mode you're looking at about thirty seconds of loading, and the load meter is completely useless in showing how long it is going to take.

Disregard the part about difficulty executing special moves, that is something to do with my Fighting Stick PC (see entry 469). It just doesn't seem to do sweep-style moves well at all, which is something of a shortcoming for a fighting stick. :p
