|A single-screen beat-em-up, if you will, in which you control a character with boxing gloves and a jetpack. You can fly around the screen, whopping on the badguys standing on platforms. They don't just take this lying down, of course, and come back with nasty punches and kicks of their own. If you collect five powerup pieces you get a super jetpack boost, during which your character flails his arms wildly, clocking anything that comes within range.|
You can't quite just mash your way though this one as later enemies demand a particular approach for success, since they often have a longer reach than you do. Some stages have destructible props, such as cannisters of radioactive waste, and you can punch these into a stack of opponents to tilt the odds in your favor. Bosses, of course, take more strategy and more of a beating.
Many of the character designs are loose and rather unusual, and the free-roaming platform beat-em-up style is something that you probably haven't seen before. The control scheme for attacks has me puzzled a bit though, as sometimes you can see to do a looping uppercut with UP + Punch, for instance, but other times this just moves you upward and right into the teeth of your opponent. It all feels a little loosey-goosey, and can be fun and frustrating accordingly.
