yeah, i have heard it complained about many times...sounds like a similar scenario to the building another friend was living in, but he was able to get two dedicated rooms, along with his brother. this was in the old amsterdam bit. do they use it legally because they bought it, or thanks to that law about unoccupied buildings? i'm surprised that it hasn't been co-opted by the municipality, actually. since this is amsterdam, i wouldn't've been surprised if there would've been a curfew for cyclists, so as not to disturb the gays. and if it had been put on all tourist maps. and if some artist had been commissioned to make a bronze sculpture of a homo and a highlander, side by side like brothers. amsterdam: well-exploited liberalism!
