i'm surprised that it hasn't been co-opted by the municipality, actually. since this is amsterdam, i wouldn't've been surprised if there would've been a curfew for cyclists, so as not to disturb the gays. and if it had been put on all tourist maps. and if some artist had been commissioned to make a bronze sculpture of a homo and a highlander, side by side like brothers. amsterdam: well-exploited liberalism!
