It's probably like how Portrait of Ruin had different areas you could access via the paintings that were kind of like smaller stages.

that would make sense. I hope they do more environmental interaction, like the first stage of dawn of sorrow.

Yeah. Little touches there, like the snow falling off the car when you jumped on it were so cool. I really liked Aria of Sorrow's beginning, too, with all those bats flying in the sky in front of the full moon. The music in that area was cool, too.
