yeah he's all "whatever. don't talk to me. why doesn't everyone just go away?" he's the embodiment of the concept of hikikomori. the characters that revolve around him are similarly annoying stereotypes. It's just not a mature narrative, and the battle system is pretty tough to get used to, since you have to do different things on both screens.
