Can you explain why you think Dawn of Sorrow is better than Portrait of Ruin? They seem exactly the same to me.

Can you explain why you think Dawn of Sorrow is better than Portrait of Ruin? They seem exactly the same to me.

Portrait of Ruin has all these rooms that are big empty spaces that don't seem to have any purpose or theme, just a place for you to have to spend time killing a bunch of stuff. I only played for about half an hour but it seemed like filler. Even the backgrounds I remember were just ambient lighting, no detail or anything. The character switching was pointless and I don't really like that kind of gimmick to begin with. Dawn of Sorrow was tighter in every way and the castle felt more like a real space and had lots of little details. Something cool happened at a regular pace and I wasn't made sick of the whole thing by the time I reached Dracula. I also loved how "easy" it was. It just had a good flow to it.
