I'm also thinking I'll be getting a Japanese 3DS now that I have a better taste for the performance of the system. Project X Zone runs so well and pulls off such nice graphical effects. The SRW games must really be great. (n/t) from substance J.
I haven't tried it because Rideon Japan hasn't made anything I've liked (adventure bar story had a great premise but did not deliver). Bare bones seems to be their MO, and I dunno, there are lots of bare bones tactics games out there!
