Absolutely horrid light gun game on the spanky semi-new Atomiswave arcade system--but this is not a good way to demonstrate new hardware. Made by some chump developer nobody's ever heard of, this game puts you on rails through various generic enemy territories, where you have to plug guys with your shotgun as the camera goes by them.

Here's the odd thing: they generally aren't shooting at you. Nope! You don't even have health in this game, so it's not like it matters. Instead, what matters is accuracy: shoot a certain percentage of the low-polygon target people, or your game is over. A lot of the time, you're actually shooting them right in the back. Sporting! Ooh, but to mix it up, some of them have camoflauge, and blend in a bit with the muddy backgrounds. Super!

Then there was the little 'tween-level minigame, where I had to shoot down incoming missiles with my own rockets, or something. Only my own rockets fired only after a long pause, and they move slow, so it's a prediction game, and not a very fun one for me.

If the graphics weren't high resolution, they almost could pass for running on a PS1. And the gameplay stinks, so... Hm, well, at least you get to hold a plastic shotgun. In fact, you'd be better off not putting money in the thing, and just pretending to shoot at passers-by with the light gun. Fun!
