An isometric, diagonally oriented run-and-gun type of thing, sort of, except with cutesy girl/animal characters. Lots of powerups to pick up, and things that transform you into more mature versions of your character. You have melee attacks, such as big hammers (the girls here showed up in the much later Shin Gouketsuji Ichizoku fighting game (see entry 1072).

You make your way along platforms, smashing/shooting things, with boss fights at the end. Two player works pretty well from what I recall. Sprites are big, and not too fast, so it can be a bit tricky to dodge incoming shots.

What else am I missing here... Oh, you have a pet "egg" thing following you around. At the beginning, it's totally useless, but I'm *told* that later on it hatches into a kick-ass dragon, or something.

It's a fairly cute game, on Sega's STV hardware, and normally I'd think it would be right up my alley. But the diagonal orientation of everything sort of annoys me, especially when coupled with 360-degree shooting, and large sprites that can't dodge very well. I don't know why, exactly, but that's just me.
