| | A simple, blocky colorful puzzle game, with a low-bit retro aesthetic like the other games in Nintendo's "big Generations" series. Dialhex is a block-matching game, with the big twist that the blocks are triangular, and you match them in hexagon shapes. This is actually pretty cool, but it's somehow way more complicated for my ape brain to comprehend than square block puzzles. Triangular blocks fall down into a hexagonal field, and you can rotate them around with a hexagonal cursor. Get eight together in a hex shape, and they clear. Blocks falling down will slide down angled edges, and you can get some pretty complex cascades going on. Neat, but I'm all thumbs at it. |
