Midway, 1997. This highly rated machine catches the eye with a colorful, swirly and mysterious carny theme--but then you realize it's another obnoxious carny theme, and then you do something and the really bright lights do their best to blind you.

Gameplay seems to center around raising and shooting a big wobbly green head on a spring, the "Ringmaster." He talks a lot in a snide carny barker voice and is thoroughly annoying. There are sideshows like digital "sideshow" modes, a weird air-filled ball in a cage that sort of just holds up your real ball in the lower left, some solid bumper targets that pop up at times in the middle right, and a ramp and lane on the upper left-ish, in addition to a slingshot around the Ringmaster, and maybe a wider slingshot around that to his right.

But the video replay I've seen really just focused on shooting the Ringmaster repeatedly, then re-summoning him for some differently titled but more or less identical mode. Over and over. With the annoying voices and all, and the flashing lights. Carny, carny, CARNY!
