| | Remake of Super Mario Bros. 2, which I liked on the NES, with "enhanced" graphics and sound. Why oh why did they have to make the characters talk? Ugh. And I don't really understand what's up with the super-sized vegetables you unearth. But if you can get past the voices it's got that weird old Mario 2 charm.
I can't believe I used to ace the gambling bits at the ends of the stages--now I have no clue at all.
Oh, you can save now, so that's nice. You can also play regular old Mario Bros. here but I dunno, somehow the new graphics and sounds don't feel right to me in that. I wish they'd had an option to play with the original version. |
