Some of the most impressive graphics and sound ever experienced on the PS2, combined with top-notch (aside from the lip synching, which appears to still move according to the original Japanese voices) voice acting and dialogue, makes for one darn compelling RPG.

Good thing too because it seems save points only come along every forty minutes or so. Game-engine cinematics take up a lot of that time and they aren't exactly hard to watch (except for the playdough hips of male characters--weird).

The combat system hasn't exactly blown me away yet but we'll see, I still haven't quite got this "boost" concept yet where you save action points for one character to aid another in the next round, or something. Very promising so far. Wait a sec, I still have to go finish Xenogears.
