Game by Rare, and pretty impressive for the NES hardware: your F-14-looking jet skedaddles to and fro why rocketing upscreen over an isometic-polygonish landscape. The framerate and speed of movement is really impressive. Hard to see the tiny little enemy bullets, and you can crash into the higher hills, but really the game isn't too hard, perhaps because it can't throw too many baddies at you at once. You have a limited number of big rocket-type shots, and between stages you can equip a variety of missiles and cannons and so forth, I think spending points you earned.

Oh, there's even an into-the-screen Afterburner-style stage early on (and maybe more later for all I know). The planes and horizon don't animate that well, 'tis true, but it's still sort of impressive to see.

On another stage, you're back to flying upscreen vertically, but you have to drop a special supply "bomb" down a tiny hole or two. If you miss, you just have to keep going until the level loops back to the same spot.

I'm not sure I think the gameplay is fantastic, but the impresses on the technical front. Okay that's all, bye!
