Port of an arcade racer by Taito, and this is one of those games that probably seems super in the arcade but lacking in features once you get it home, as it has only sixty or so cars and about seven tracks.

Now, I only played it briefly, so that didn't really bother me (well, I would have liked to see more tracks). The racing itself is very easy to get into, arcade style, with super-easy drifting around the tight one-lane mountain roads that form the tracks: just crank the wheel and maybe tap the break (not even the E-brake) and you'll find yourself in a perfect, controlled drift around the turn. Not realistic at all, probably, but pretty fun.

The cars handle in responsive fashion--realistic, maybe not. I don't really know. The AI doesn't seem very responsive, but then again there maybe isn't much it could do on these narrow roads anyway, other than get in your way on the ideal line, which is what it does.

The graphics are pretty, with nice autumn tree colors in the mountains, and mountain lakes and things. There are a fair number of music tracks, too, and they're pretty fun.

So, for the few quick races I ran, I enjoyed it. I imagine there's maybe a challenge mode in here too or something, so make you work through the content a bit. At least, there'd better be.
