| I don't know if it's because I don't have much natural rhythm or something, but I don't "get" very many rhythm games--in so many, the input you're required to do just doesn't seem to match the music being played. And I've found that I have that problem with DDR; but then again, how would you really get stepping on four directional buttons to feel intuitive based just on the sounds of contemporary pop songs? So, I don't know, but thus far I stink at it. As far as moving your body goes, I would much rather do actual dancing than this arbitrary stomping on buttons. As far as music goes, I would rather listen to something else. However, as far as watching people make fools of themselves goes, this game is hard to beat. You get a new appreciation of the series when someone busts the game out at a party, and sock-clad wanna-be dance studs stumble around on the dance mat while a cheering section of half-drunk women hoots at them to shake their butt. Amusement value = high! |
