"Super Smash Bros. Melee" in the States. Well, you pick a cutesy Nintendo franchise character, and jump on some wacky platforms that may or may not move around and stuff, and you jump up next to the enemy character(s), and waggle the weird C-stick thing until the enemies get hit and fly off the stage. Then you repeat this until time runs out. You can do this against the computer, or against up to three other people, if you want.

And that seems to be it, pretty much. Oh, there are all kinds of little goals to achieve and trophies to unlock, as is Nintendo's way these days, but it really comes down to the smashing. The chaotic platform-fighting action is a lot like Dream Mix TV World Fighters (see entry 444), which I also didn't like. The action in these games just feels really random to me, and especially so here with the weird C-stick thing going on. Give me a standard 2-player tournament fighting game over these things any day of the week.
