I didn't super-love the first FF but you got me to go back and look at it a bit, it definitely has some interesting stuff. I guess I got kind of used to fighting games from the tournament era but yeah I was thinking earlier that their online evolution, esports, has pretty much ruined most of what I liked about fighting games--definitely SF, anyway. : P Oh and VF, I suppose.
