The amount of detail in the backgrounds and sprites was so impressive to me! And that sound -- the main character would grunt when he jumped, say "yeah!" when he picked up a bag of rocks, that type of thing. I wish there was an easy way to revisit games like that. It looks like you can play it in a web browser, now that I'm peeking around. But I always worry that I'll pick up malware doing that!
