Comverts ISO (PS2 & DC rips rips), BIN+CUE (PS1 & blue PS2 rips) and GDI (Dreamcast rips) to compressed CHD format, and back.

PCSX2 (PS2--see entry 1665) and Flycast (DC--see entry 1615) can load CHD files. Since those emulators can't read the game data from zip or 7z-compressed files, this saves you HD space!

For instance, it took the three DC games CvSP, SSF2X, and KOF2000 from 2.89 GB combined to just 1.38 GB--and each one ends up as just one file, whereas before they were a bunch of files each in separate folders. That's not QUITE as good as 7z (1.31 GB; and no, 7zing the CHDs doesn't compress them further 'p')--but zipped ROMs aren't readable by those emulators.

CHDMAN is included with MAME (see entry 1541), but MAME only has the exe for it, not the handy .bat files that more or less automate it.

(Note: when running the .bat on DC rips, it makes separate .chd files for all of their .gdi and .iso files--but also combines everything into a big .chd file; the smaller component .chd files aren't needed after that.)
