| | https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases/ Indispensable tool for using a DualShock4 in Windows. Author has declared Dec 2023 version 3.3.3 the "EOL" version. Gets the DS4 working in apps that don't have specific support for it by emulating Xbox controller input, keyboard keys, mouse input, etc. You can tweak pretty much every aspect of the controller. You can set up per-game button remap profiles, with custom lightbar colors (and I set mine to minimum illumination : )) and have them auto-selected when the program is run. |

Click Device Options 4. make sure DualSense is checked. 5. Go to main tab in DS4 6. press start " |

| | DS4Windows relies on a kernel driver by Nefarius Software Solutions e.U. called ViGEmBus https://ryochan7.github.io/ds4windows-site/about/companion-drivers/#nefarius-virtual-gamepad-emulation-bus-nefarius-vigembus to create the virtual controller. ViGEmBus was retired at the end of 2023 due to conflict with a German trademark https://docs.nefarius.at/projects/ViGEm/End-of-Life/ ; DS4Windows declared its own EOL soon afterwards. |

| | Ah! When running DS4Windows for the first time, a more polished-looking version of that Controller Type Options list is shown as part of the initial set-up. If you didn't enable certain controllers when you first ran DS4Windows, though, you gotta hunt down the menu as detailed above. |
