Playing through Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja, using the "baddudes.zip" ROM placed in an install directory of the Steam game "Retro Classix: Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja" (though the Steam store web page has it as "Retro Classix: Bad Dudes") running in MAME 0.119 (2007--the last 32-bit MAME, accepts just about any ROM) from the Windows 11 command line!
Some of the bosses' attacks feel a tad unavoidable. : P Really snappy kicks and nunchucks though!
L/R plus both buttons does a spinning jump kick thing, I found later. Also, if you're on the top platform and push up when jumping, you get a super-high jump--as if the character is going to jump up to a floor above, even though there isn't one.
Jump sometimes just doesn't work. Pretty darned irritating. Also won't work if you're in the middle of a kick or kick combo, which is also not great--but a separate issue as far as I can tell. |
