The second installment of this super-bright and bouncy 2d all-girl high school fighter for the PlayStation runs you through an RPG-ish "Story Mode" in which you get a menu of choices between fights. You can choose to travel to different locations on campus, look for a fight at your current location, "train" (which seems to mean fight), check your status, buy ... stuff? with money earned from winning battles, or sometimes talk to various non-combatant freaks who pop up. It's all quite confusing but if you just keep picking things it seems to get to all the opponents eventually.

The fighting system is still primarily two buttons but they've thrown in a third "evade" button, just for the hell of it apparently. Many of the characters and stage backgrounds look ripped right from the first game, and everything has a very perky, vibrant and low-resolution "been scaled up from a lower-detail graphic" look about it, even the character selection menu. As before you can combo just about anything you like, even ground hits, and you can parry incoming attacks with attacks of your own. Fun in a mashy button kind of way.
