| | Playing through Two Crude, using the "twocrude.zip" ROM placed in an install directory of the Steam game "Retro Classix: Two Crude," running in MAME 0.119 (2007--the last 32-bit MAME, accepts just about any ROM) from the Windows 11 command line! It's the sequel to Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja, also in Retro Classix. The arcade game was called "Crude Buster" in Asia; the console port was "Two Crude Dudes" outside of Japan. Copyright claims on 7 music tricks cover 28 minutes: "The visibility of your video is not impacted, but you can no longer monetize it. The copyright owner is now either monetizing it, or receiving analytics about it." ; PPPP You have a third button now for picking stuff up and throwing it--so you can pick something up, say a car, and still use the regular attack button to kick while hefting it; you can even pick up and throw the enemies!--but the crisp, snappy, simple control from the prequel is gone and what you're doing feels comparatively blobby and nebulous. It still feels hard to avoid being hit by most of the bosses so that part is still the same. The graphics are fun in a sort of ugly style, and the music (so copyrighted! ; P) is pretty good. But I don't want to play it ever again. |
