| My brother got me this--probably from Best Buy--years ago, been using it ever since. Used it for pretty much all the input delay comparison cell phone videos I've done of fighting games, etc, I'm pretty sure. It was fairly inexpensive at retail, I think. HDMI (no speakers, but there is an audio-out jack), 1080p resolution, 60 Hz. Best Buy says 5ms response time https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-s271hl-27-led-fhd-monitor-black/6051018.p?skuId=6051018 ; I've seen other sites rating it at 4 or 6. I think this might be the monitor that had some setting that added 1 ms delay; anyway I've turned off the various optional settings ("DDC/CI" and "ACM"; "ACM" ("Adaptive Contrast Management") might've been the delay-adding one, come to think of it). It's lowest brightness setting is still pretty bright, that's about all I remember of it in comparison to my previous, smaller monitors. It's angle of viewing isn't spectacular or anything, but isn't bad, either. Basically it's a pretty good, inexpensive monitor. |
