| | Mount your chain-sprite dragon and fly along shooting things while your dragon breathes fire, lightning or missles on their asses, and protects your back with his scaly hide. Isn't this every boy's dream? Not only that, you can also dismount and shoot around on the landing platform on foot, through the ground area is so small I'm not yet sure why they bothered. Perhaps it gets larger in later levels. Oh, and you can hold fire for a charge attack. The very large sprites have the rounded, jewel-like look of other Irem games, and fill the screen with a pleasant amount of bitmapped destruction. I wouldn't say that the sprite design is the greatest I've seen, though, and to ma*e matters worse the pacing of the game feels rather on the sluggish side, although then again I only saw the first level (nobody cared enough to try for level 2, especially after smashing backwards in to a particularly large and sluggish boss). A worthy game but perhaps not a brilliant one. |
