It's not just the smell. This shit looks positively delicious. Like, if you served it on a bed of white rice, most people would probably raise their eyebrows and go "mmm" if you placed it in front of them. Of course, once they started eating it, they'd most likely realize that you just fed them shit instead of curry and then you'd have some explaining to do. Although, you might be able to get away with telling them it's a traditional Indian bitter melon curry.
