For what it's worth, we also had a Macintosh computer and that was where I played games with graphics and sound that blew me away. Dark Castle, Lode Runner, GATO, and so many more cool games!

We did some customization to my taste.

ah yeah - I only saw those kinds of things at friends houses too! I didn't quite have the mental faculties for being impressed with graphics yet though.

I thought games couldn't look any better than Dark Castle. The amount of detail in the backgrounds and sprites was so impressive to me! And that sound -- the main character would grunt when he jumped, say "yeah!" when he picked up a bag of rocks, that type of thing. I wish there was an easy way to revisit games like that.
