i suppose it's possible! but i felt like it was the flu because: 1) i was vaccinated for covid 2) i didn't have the 2023 flu vaccine yet 3) the flu was "going around" tokyo and knocking folks out left and right and covid wasn't in a spike there 4) i didn't test positive once with 3 tests 5) symptoms were familiar and manageable with flu medicine 6) nobody else that i met with during that time got covid. it's of course totally possible it was still covid, but with all those factors the flu feels the most likely.
