Which games are we looking forward to this year? I for one cant wait to sink hundreds of hours in Metal Gear Solid 5 and Fallout 4! The new multiplayer Zelda for 3DS looks like lots of fun as well!

Follow Ups:
Lots coming up. I took advantage of the Best Buy pre-order discount during E3. (Darius) (00:22:52 07/27/15 EST)
I have no idea what comes out when except for very few things. I don't pay much attention to anything regarding "gaming news", probably because every time I catch a glance they are promoting some crap like Metal Gear Solid 5* or Fallout 4**. I think Nintendo are saying that Mario Maker game they've been showing around for years is finally going to make it, and that thing looks totally amazing. I hope I can have a chance at some online level design sharing with you guys before someone figures out how to use cloud/brick tiles to draw dicks in the sky and the servers get shut down. At this point i just... kind of feel sorry for you :( The one game you are positive about somehow turns into a negative rant as well. I cant believe im doing this, but here i go. MGS has been a consistently stellar series. Its made so many people happy in the past, so why not make a part 5? Fallout 3 helped me through recovery after heavy surgery, and there are thousands of similar stories of people who enjoyed the games for other good/interesting/inspiring reasons. So why no part 4? Im happy about the new Fifa coming out, even though i wont be buying it. I hope it will be the best fifa yet, even though i wont be buying it. See what i mean? What is it about you that makes it hard for you to be happy for someone else? It seems like you just want to go against the popular thing, well let me tell you something: often, things are popular *because they are good*. If you dont want those games, fine. But why go out of your way to explain why they *shouldnt be made*? I really hope youre a happier person in real life, for your loved ones at least. (Mental) (18:41:45 07/27/15 EST)
I'm just trying to figure out why you assume that just because I don't like the same shitty games you do I'm somehow a mean unhappy sad person that's miserable to be around. I've found what I like. It isn't what you like. That's all there is here. I never specifically said MGS5 shouldn't be made, but now that you mention it, I do find it pretty sad that the series has gone this far selling as well as it has when people honestly don't finish it that often because it's fucking boring. It feels like doing work. If I'm going to feel like I'm doing work, I'd rather get something done. I'm not sure if that means it shouldn't be made or not, but it does seem like a big expenditure of money and manpower for a shelf sitter. (n/t) (SignOfZeta) (21:34:27 07/27/15 EST)
See, where do you get that info? Shelf sitter? Youre just being ridiculous. And yes, as much as my internet persona is annoying at times, yours is extremely negative and bitter 90% of the time. You could at least admit that. You also have a tendency to hate mainstream stuff, which is just childish. I cant possibly be the only one on this board to notice this, or can i? MGS5 will be fine, and finished by many. If Fallout 4 is good, there will be a part 5, 6, 7, all the way to hopefully a part 30. And thats a good t thing. (n/t) (Mental) (06:25:40 07/28/15 EST)
You'll see what you want to see. I own many of the best selling games, records, movies, whatever. My main music listening this week has been Willie Nelson, Yes, and Pet Shop Boys, all platinum selling bands. I have a Golf, a Fit, and a Miata, all hugely popular cars with both critics and the public. The last video game I played was Super Mario 3D World (4 million copies sold), about 12 hours ago. I have Mario Kart 8 and Gran Turismo 6 and Gravity Rush and Ouendan and a huge bunch of top selling stuff. I love chocolate and ice cream and diet Pepsi. While I certainly have arcane tastes, I have a foot in both worlds. It's very specifically certain types of things I hate, and you will buy all of these things, apparently. I do not hate all mainstream things. I just don't. I do hate the mentality of obedient minimum wage otaku who just buy whatever is being advertised, one thing after another, and that seems to be the underdog you are championing, which is a dog that's winning the race anyway so it's odd you'd go out of your way to throw some good will their way. As for MGS: MGS 2 was the last game in the series that anyone I know locally has actually finished. It is most absolutely a series where people don't finish the games. It is not "ridiculous" to point this out, if anything it's true to the point of cliche. Maybe it's different in Europe, but here MGS is a series people get excited about looking forward too more than playing. (n/t) (SignOfZeta) (14:35:29 07/28/15 EST)
I can't think of anything. maybe persona 5? I'm mostly looking forward to playing/finishing games I already own I think. (n/t) (exodus) (14:13:16 07/27/15 EST)
I might get that Animal Crossing home game with the AR cards. I don't have an Xbox 360 anymore nor do I own a PS4 or Xbox One. My gaming laptop needs a new hard drive and reimaging (which I am too lazy to finish doing for some reason). Next payday I'm probably going to check out Odallus, a Castlevania homage: (NeoGutsman) (02:29:02 07/30/15 EST)
Mario Maker looks interesting, but I'm not sure if I have enough free time to make it really worthwhile. (n/t) (Rockman Pocket) (04:51:55 07/31/15 EST)
I just finished a shitty, soul sucking project so I'm more looking forward to what I've neglected over the past year and a half. I'm very excited for Mario Maker, down to see if I can play through a JRPG ever again with Persona 5, and am cautiously curious about Fallout 4 as far as upcoming titles. I'm also looking forward to more dreams about Risge Racer 8 being a thing because that has actually happened twice in the past couple months. (n/t) (twelvest) (20:09:55 07/31/15 EST)
