Uh, I don't think Nintendo knows what it's for either. Also: game recommendations? Pretend I'm making this thread about 5 years ago. So far enjoying Project X Zone 2 a lot, disliking Mario 3D Land greatly, waiting on the Kunio game to arrive and DBZ Fusions to be released in December. Oh and I have Steel Diver.

I mostly played stuff like Devil Survivor and SMT IV on this thing, when it comes to full games. Oh, and I liked the tom clancy shadow wars or whatever game, it's a solid tactics game by the original Xcom guy. But otherwise, I recommend the digital download games "attack of the friday monsters," fairune, and gotta protectors (if you liked protect me knight). I also played a lot of pokemon picross, but that's free to play so your mileage on that one may vary. That's all I can remember off the top of my head because I don't know where my 3DS is right now! When I think about it, I guess I don't have that many games for it.

I think you should try Yo-Kai Watch (maybe just skip to 2). Seriously. It's a pretty chill RPG that makes me feel relaxed to play. Also: Sega 3D Classics are rad. Shin Megami Tensei IV as Brandon said. Um... man, there's lots of stuff.

Planning to get all those! Know anything about Mercenaries Saga 2? Looks like a really bare bones FF Tactics. I'm also thinking I'll be getting a Japanese 3DS now that I have a better taste for the performance of the system. Project X Zone runs so well and pulls off such nice graphical effects. The SRW games must really be great.

They are, but nothing like they are on Vita. Sony totally dominates in this one area. I noticed neither Meijer or Target carry any Vita any more. However Bandai just announced SRW V for Japan and it will sell 180k+ I'm sure because not only is it available in English for the first time (not needed, IMO) it has a unit called Mazin Emperor G, and you can guess how cool that has to be.

I haven't tried it because Rideon Japan hasn't made anything I've liked (adventure bar story had a great premise but did not deliver). Bare bones seems to be their MO, and I dunno, there are lots of bare bones tactics games out there!
