There are a million NetMD-era Sony's on eBay but they look kind of light and cheap. I had a Sharp MD-MS722 which must've weighed about half a pound. It was so cool, but I always wanted to get another unit just to see how other manufacturers did things. I'm not entirely nostalgic for MD - I found it to be kind of a pain in the ass, but for its time it was such a massive improvement over the reliability of CD players and, at least from my time with MD, fit into a very finite period of early 2000's Japanese technology and aesthetics that I'm nostalgic for. This thread makes me want to get a MiniDisc player again, too. Actually, I wonder if I still have my old one at my mom's house somewhere. I'll have to check.
