So far, maybe they are. There's a soundless video they're running as a mock-up screen through their official site, and it starts off with VF--but even though the YouTube video is 720p60, the VF part is actually only updating at 30fps--matching the original arcade framerate, as far as the internet tells me.
 

 
They've got some pretty smooth AA on it which I wouldn't think could be per the original--but then, the original didn't run at 720p, either.
