Polygon's "An oral history" series of fighting game interview articles takes on Capcom vs. SNK.
 
A couple things I hadn't known, I don't think: it was a team of 20-some SNK refugees who worked on the cancelled "Capcom Fighting All-Stars," and Capcom Japan sold the Street Fighter IP to Capcom USA in the mid 2000s.
