My 98 is not that filthy, honestly, but that’s a good price.

Yeah, the temptation was strong. ; ) It was muted somewhat by the other, obvious bootlegs he's selling, but that one looks dirty enough to be legit. ; ) If I was really going to get one that dirty I'd feel obligated to open it up and clean the whole darn thing, because otherwise I'd worry about all the dirt it was dropping inside my Neo; would have to get a fair amount of rubbing alcohol, I guess. (I've never opened an MVS cart so I have no idea how feasible that sort of operation actually is.)

For that matter, I'm not sure I've ever cleaned electronics with rubbing alcohol. I just seem to recall that always being the thing the internet said to use for cleaning game carts. :P

I have some pretty dingy cases, all the PCBs inside are fine. I wouldn’t scrub anything unless it actually smelled. Scrubbing destroys things.

Yeah I think at most I would immerse and gently wipe. Good to know the cases are pretty good at protecting the boards.

There aren’t any fans in these machines so even gnarled carts are usually fine inside, no dust. Most of the ugliness on these carts comes from them being moved around in stacks for 20+ years.
