| | https://github.com/has207/psxtract-2 Converts PS1 games bought from PS3 PS Store and dumped from jailbroken PS3 to a format usable by emulators such as DuckStation. Previous versions of psxtract, including the updated PSXtract2021 ( https://github.com/Mr-Berzerk/PSXtract2021 ) did not convert any tracks after track 1 (data), so games with additional CD audio tracks, such as Namco Museum Vol. 1 (through 3, according to https://github.com/opsxcq/psx-cue-sbi-collection ) would be missing the CD audio. psxtract-2 DOES convert additional CD audio tracks ("uses at3tool for ATRAC3 decoding of CDDA audio tracks"). So I re-converted my Namco Museum Vol. 1 from the PS3 JP PS Store for instance and now have music in the game rooms of the museum exhibits in the game. : ) (101 MB .chd vs 37 MB). |
| | Usage is same as before: cmd: psxtract -c eboot.pbp |
| | The resulting bin/cue can be compressed to a .chd with CHDMAN (see entry 1742). |
| | Got the link to psxtract-2 from https://github.com/farmerbb/RED-Project/wiki/PS1-Classics , which has extraction scripts for a lot of Steam etc classic game collections. |
