| | Needed a new mouse, wanted just a basic one to replace the old Dell UDEL1 OEM mouse I'd pulled out of the cupboard when I switched off of touchpads for the first time in forever, Dell's current basic mouse on Amazon apparently has a cheesy scroll wheel (say user reviews), so I went with the current basic Logitech. It isn't more than maybe a few mm shorter than the Dell and arcs to about the same height, but it feels small, like I'm not even holding it really; my hand doesn't really touch it. And I have fairly small hands. Probably just because I'm not used to it but my wrist is feeling uncomfortable trying to deal with it. The cable is thinner than the Dell's, and I'm not crazy about that. It is way more sensitive than the Dell, which is probably a plus I suppose, although I just ended up lowering the speed setting in Windows to get it to about the same speed. The mouse wheel feels thinner and slighter, less robust than the old Dell's. It's much lighter than the Dell, and the pads or whatever on the bottom let it move much more easily over my tabletop. (The Dell's might have been too worn down, or maybe just needed a real clean, I dunno.) Anyway, my wrist is annoying me trying to use it so I'm going to have to stop. It's cheap but I'm just going to throw it out once I have another backup handy; I don't want ever to be tempted to use it and end up annoying my wrist again. : P |
