Found a seemingly unknown glitch or something in Double Dragon II: The Revenge on my PC Engine Duo-R: hammer on the I, II, and Run buttons all at once for a while in 1P Play mode, and the 2P character, Jimmy appears; the game acts like it is now in 2P Play B mode, except that both characters are controlled simultaneously using just the 1P controller.

I was NOT able to reproduce this emulating via Mednafen. Maybe it's a quirk of my repaired controller port? If you've got your own console and can try it out, lemme know what happens!

Cool! ^_^ I may go ahead and submit it on the Mednafen forum as a possible emulation bug (that it isn't possible in the emulator, I mean), I'm sure someone there will know or be able to figure out what's up.

to me it feels like somehow controller 1nput is bleeding across to a non-existent player 2 activation which then passes to player 1 control since there's only one controller in there.

Yeah I was thinking maybe it was something funky with that repaired controller port but I couldn't work out how that would even work but you make it sound so plausible. ^ )^ Just noticed Mesen has PC Engine support so I'll give that emulator a shot at it too.

Failed to get any flavor of the game to load in Mesen or Ares, goldang. Possibly one or both of those require setting up separate Windows emulation of the disc drive?--I saw some note maybe about some other emulator that said something like that.
