You having spent 40 on it on the basis of maybe in the future getting something out of seems a bit twisted to me. The world REALLY doesnt need an extra netflix player. No one does. I wanted a small thingie that could play my enormous digital ps1/psp collection on the big screen, and thats exactly what i got, for just 50 bucks. I would say its a fantastic product. I bought it because a Vita that hooks to the TV is something that I'd like. For $40 that's a steal, very inexpensive. That doesn't change the fact that the PSTV failes massively to be what Sony wanted it to be. I have enough Netflix players (this TV has a WiiU hooked to it) but when Sony tgoes out of its way to repurpose something like the Vita to be a universal set top box to compete with all the other big ones (the cart port I'll mainly be using is hardly even mentioned in PSTV literature) and it doesn't have Netflix then they obviously failed. Either they couldn't get Netflix to make it, or they though it wasn't neccisary since they are aiming to be the 3rd or 4th generic video box and figured you were already taken care of. Both are loser situations. Another piece of evidence that they failed based on their own metric; the fact that the system has been out for half a year and it's being sold for %60 off. I'm pretty sure that's conclusive proof that they fucked up. The frustrating part is that they spent money to whip something up to make the PSTV more than just a Vita with no screen, and almost all of those changes just make the thing worse. I assume the PSTV will be like the PSPGo, which was pretty much useless as an official product but terrific once hacked.
