I actually bought about half of my MGS stuff for so cheap it's not even funny. I kept thinking "maybe it'll finally click once I have time to play them" but I actually kind of avoid them after which is pathetic. Part of me thinks that some new control scheme will make it easier for me but it never works out of course. For what it's worth, the MG series is pretty much the last of the "everyone else loves this so I'm going to try to replicate the enjoyment - finally!" type of game I will engage in. It's been a couple decades or more of fruitless trying. When my coworker got in a froth about Kojima's situation at Konami I had to feign interest in the subject. I was actually more upset that I didn't buy the Bloom County comic book Humble Bundle in time than I was about Kojima.
