The big thing with the GB modders is, apparently, LOCA (Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive). I have never used the stuff, but the idea is that it forms a clear adhesive layer between the light panel and the LCD panel. I guess it's supposed to be a lot better. If you look around, I think you'll find some frontlight mod guys recommending a specific brand/style of LOCA. A couple years back, I found a guy in China that sold GBA frontlight panels that were okay for NGPC. They were just a bit of a pain to source and install, so I didn't pursue this as a service. I've tried the Kitsch-Bent panel, too. I didn't like that they have small ribs that kinda screw up the optics. (link inside) Please let us know how it goes (or went).
