Except of course, gamblers need to walk to an ATM, and most mobile gamers have their bank accounts directly linked, often without even the hurdle of password protection, to their accounts. that's a pretty outdated view. most folks are trying out the free games to see if they like them, then paying for items in the ones their friends may be playing, or just the ones that are popular. It's not so different from a rental/purchase model in the old days, just a lot easier, and the games are more like work than fun.
