Floaty jumps, mushy chain combos and laggy hitstun are what stood out to me. Sure, it has a neat roster, but what's the point of having access to Krauser and Yamazaki if they play like ass? Keep in mind that this isn’t its own game, it’s a portable version of the FF at the time, Real Bout 2. It has those dumb chain combos because they are in all the FFs of that era (after 2 Special, before Garaou). I really like those games and to me this is decent at being one of those. It’s not an amazing effort, but I’d assume most people don’t like it mostly because they don’t like Fatal Fury in general from that time (and also because it isn’t as well excecuted as other NGP fighters).
