It has those dumb chain combos because they are in all the FFs of that era (after 2 Special, before Garaou). I really like those games and to me this is decent at being one of those. It’s not an amazing effort, but I’d assume most people don’t like it mostly because they don’t like Fatal Fury in general from that time (and also because it isn’t as well excecuted as other NGP fighters). I love Real Bout 2! One of SNK's best games from that period. First Contact is a poor imitation, even if I wish it wasn't.
