By the time this game came out shops were renting NES stuff and this is exactly the sort of game that sent me back to my Coleco or at least Super Mario Bros. Many more shitty arcade ports (often with shops inserted into them) were to follow. (n/t) from SignOfZeta.
Tried it again and the input lag feeling wasn't there, so I dunno what that was, maybe just a momentary impression due to some specific occurrence. I do like that it is faster paced than the arcade version--but no continues means that I don't get very far at all. : P
